Are you stuck on the diet merry-go-round, constantly trying the latest trendy diet to regain control over your eating? You might be experiencing chronic dieting or disordered eating, patterns that can take a serious toll on both your body and mind.

Chronic dieting often means a lack of freedom with food. When your meals are controlled by strict rules or rigid eating patterns, it can be hard to enjoy food or feel comfortable at the table with loved ones. Over time, this rigidity can lead to stress, shame, and disconnection from your body’s natural cues.

The good news is that dieting recovery is possible. Chronic dieting is made up of learned beliefs and behaviors, and with guidance, these can change. In therapy, I help clients identify the root causes of disordered eating and explore the experiences that shaped their relationship with food and their body.

Through a combination of talk therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and IFS (Internal Family Systems) techniques, we’ll examine whether your current eating beliefs and behaviors are still serving you. If they aren’t, we’ll work together to replace them with healthier, more flexible habits—helping you cultivate intuitive eating, body acceptance, and lasting food freedom.

Symptoms of chronic dieting and disordered eating include:

shame, guilt, or anxiety after eating certain foods
obsessively weighing or measuring your body
anxiety about eating in front of others
yo-yo dieting
consistent emotional eating
overeating or binge eating

purging through vomiting, laxatives, or exercise
obsessive thoughts about food or your body
loss of control around food
rigid rules about food or exercise
missing social events to avoid food temptation
feeling controlled by food

My Food Philosophy

Health at Every Size (HAES)

Weight does not define health, and there is no such thing as a perfect weight. We are at our healthiest-mentally and physically-when we are not desperately dieting.

All  Food is Good Food

There is no such thing as good food or bad food; therefore, our bodies can use all food as fuel. If dieting worked, you probably wouldn’t be here. Let me help you try something new.
